Here is a recipe for sambousak:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup yogurt sauce
  • 1/4 cup tahini sauce

Instructions:

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  3. Add the water and oil and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  6. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  7. Add the onion, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper and cook for 5 minutes, or until the onion is soft.
  8. Remove the filling from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  9. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  10. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a 12-inch circle.
  11. Cut the circle into 12 equal pieces.
  12. Place a spoonful of filling on each piece of dough.
  13. Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle.
  14. Pinch the edges of the dough to seal.
  15. Place the sambousak on a baking sheet.
  16. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  17. Serve with yogurt sauce and tahini sauce.
