Here is a recipe for kunafa shaar:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup phyllo dough, shredded
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup rose water
  • 1/4 cup orange blossom water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions:

  1.  
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, rose water, orange blossom water, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine phyllo dough and melted butter. Toss to coat.
  5. Press half of the phyllo dough mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Spread half of the pistachio and walnut mixture over the phyllo dough.
  7. Pour half of the syrup over the nuts.
  8. Repeat layers.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
